About
You've decided to move into the big city. What an opportunity! The only problem is there's no space. Manage to stave off hunger and stay happy by buying furniture and cooking food.
Made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 54.

How to Play
You have money, hunger (green), stamina (yellow), and contentment (blue). Rent is due every day. If you can't afford rent, if you get too hungry, or if you get too unhappy, you lose. Buy items by visiting the shop window and pulling them out. Get money by selling things (push them through the shop window). Hunger is always depleting. Replenish hunger by eating food. Contentment only depletes if you haven't replenished it in a while, but it falls fast when it starts. Replenish contentment by reading a book. Stamina depletes when you move objects. The heavier the object, the more your stamina will drain. The lower your stamina, the slower you move. Replenish stamina by sleeping in a bed. To cook, push ingredients into a combiner and press use on the combiner.

Known Issues
- Pressing "Z" doesn't restart — "X" does. (I switched the controls at the last minute and didn't change the message)
- With the current controls, it's easy to accidentally eat food when you wanted to move it around. If you're using a keyboard to play, you can use the alternate key setup to separate the two action buttons more.
- For the bed and the oven, there's a bug where you can accidentally toss it before it leaves the shop window for no money back. Make sure not to push them up when you first buy them.
- It's easy to miss when the contentment meter starts to fall. It'll turn red, so watch out!

For Mac
1. Move the “Small Kitchen” app out of the disk image and onto your desktop
2. In the terminal, run the following commands:
cd ~/Desktop xattr -cr Small\ Kitchen.app
3. Click on the “Small Kitchen” app to play

I think the core loop is very fun! I enjoy how well the simple in-game economy works, and I think the life-simulation aspect of it works really well.
